A Family that Drives Together Plays Together

Kids are too impatient in travels. You can’t control their temper if they choose to get mad because of boredom. Children become stressed when they travel for an hour or more. This causes nausea and head- aches to them. So, when you travel with kids, keep them occupied with travel toys and games.

You may try to bring auto accessories that can make traveling with kids more pleasant, safe, and fun. Start first with a DVD portable player. Here are more recommended enjoyable stuffs to bring while the family is traveling in car. A handy display cube which is soft and made out of fabric and a hand puppet called, Peek-a Boo Monkey Puppet and Play Cube can be enjoyed by mommy and toddlers, while daddy who is driving the car can join in dubbing for the puppets.  If your family is going to a vacation in the farm and you want to give them insight and excitement about the place bring Milestone’s Barnyard Sorter with you. This is another cloth toy shape in cuddly farm animals with sounds. These toys during car ride are for your child age 9 months to 1 year.

For your child age 9 and above bring with you, Simpson’s Travel Trivia Game. This is the best way to know more about the gang in Springfield. To be more educational, Magnetic Scrabble is still a good choice. This is a great game to play with older kids. Lastly, Travel-Sized Mastermind is another superb game for kids nine and up. It’s a portable toy which can sharpen your child’s brain and can be also challenging to parents.

Give also each child a bag or plastic storage container to keep his games and toys organized. Let him know that every toy or game must be put in its container after use. An auto accessory that works great for storing small toys in a plastic auto bin can be helpful. The most important is, keep a joyful heart to express your love to your children in special travels with the whole family. Remember, that there could never be more days like this in the future.

Family Travel in an RV

Adventurous people will never say no to road trips. To them, this is a great chance of seeing something of the world. However, road trips are more enjoyable if you have a companion. If you are planning to go on a trip, why not take you whole family with you? With your whole family in tow, the best vehicle for you is an RV or recreational vehicle.  So, what exactly is an RV? The term recreational vehicle is used to refer to a piece of equipment that is used both as a vehicle and a temporary travel home. It’s also referred to as motor home or motor caravan.  This is very ideal for activities like vacations and camping. Some people even make the RV their full-time home. They just stay in special trailer parks.

As you can see, riding in one is just like being home away from home. Many families find RVs very convenient, especially if there are lots of kids. There’s no rushing around just to go to the rest room because all of these normal activities can be done in the comfort of the RV. I’m sure you have seen movies where traveling families have to be content with the public rest room no matter how filthy it is just to relieve them of the call of nature. Since there’s no rushing around, you and your family can reach your destination, happy and relaxed.

Getting the right nutrition is also not a problem since the RV has its own kitchen.  You don’t have to resort to fast food all the time because you can cook your own choice of food. There’s an onboard refrigerator so you can stock your favorite fruits, vegetables, and drinks.

The RV has plenty of space so you can take the whole family. You can even bring your pet if you so desire. Aside from that, you can also bring what you want. There are many storage spaces in RVs. Children seats, toys, and clothes have plenty of space in the RV. Toys must never be forgotten especially if there are children on board. These will prevent them from getting bored during the drive.

To ensure an enjoyable and hassle-free drive in the RV, be sure to conduct a thorough inspection of its systems and parts. And even if you don’t find anything wrong, be sure to bring your toolbox for repair.

With everything all set, there’s only one more thing you need to do. Enjoy the ride!

You have to think of a destination that will not tire you and your kids too much. Planning ahead involves determining what type of car is most suited to your family’s needs. So, after doing the first step, next thing to do is finalize the things to bring. There’s nothing like hunger to make anyone cranky!

Be on the look out for motion sickness. Consult your doctor regarding the medication you’ll give the kids. Stopping for a bit and taking fresh air is a good idea for getting rid of nausea. Opening the car windows will also do in some cases.
