Manhattan’s bees can’t rejoice because even if there are huge flowers over at the Flatiron’s plaza right now, they can’t get anything beneficial out of them. Well, unless they will find the flowers’ solar power useful; but I really don’t think bees would find any use for it.

On the other hand, these 18-foot-high plastic flowers planted by Toyota at the said Plaza will benefit a lot of people who needs impromptu electrical charge for their cellphones and laptops. There’s more to these pretty and tall flowers. Each of them has solar cells behind the petals and at the base of the stems that provide power coming from the sun. And it simply doesn’t stop there. Toyota showed its generous nature by equipping the flowers with added Wi-Fi support. Yes folks, you can bring your laptop and do some browsing under these pretty huge flowers, for FREE!

Toyota did not place those flowers at the Flatiron Plaza as part of the promotion for the third-generation Prius hybrid. With the theme, “Harmony Between Man, Nature and Machine” the flowers are really quite apt! 

So, if you want to experience this harmony that Toyota is offering, better pay a visit to the Flatiron Plaza. The flowers will be there until August 2 only.
