Check Out New Ford Galaxy

Check Out New Ford Galaxy

The new Ford Galaxy is not what you’ll expect it to be. First of all, Ford has downsized it but, despite that, it is still worthy to be called as a “people mover” because it has seven family size seats and ample room for luggage.

Even though it’s been downsized, the Ford Galaxy offers improved engine configurations. It now comes with a highly efficient 2.0-liter EcoBoost petrol engine which means improved fuel usage, power and emissions. Owners of this model will surely benefit a lot from all these.

The 2010 Ford Galaxy is made available in three trims—Zetec, Titanium, and Titanium X. Some of the great features of this model include a premium sound system, overhead storage, new interior colours, panoramic roof, and built-in luggage roof rail. It’s also offered with optional features like satellite navigation, reversing cameras, blind spot sensors, and key-free ignition system.

What is the Oldest Minivan?

What is the Oldest Minivan?

This is just a bit of trivia. The oldest type of minivan that came into existence was the Stout Scarab that was produced in the 1930’s. This was produced by Stout engineering Laboratories in Detroit, Michigan. This automobile was equipped with a Ford V8 engine and features cozy furniture and body work. Durability is ensured by the aluminum makeup. However, you have to excuse this minivan’s appearance since there was no competition in the minivan category before. Looking at it, the Stout Scarab reminds me of a bug.

Take a look.

What’s to Love about the Toyota Innova?

What’s to Love about the Toyota Innova?

Whenever I get stuck in traffic, I always end up looking at the embossed logo of Innova. Everyone must really love Innova, as what Toyota says in its website.

What makes the Innova a great vehicle? Just one look and you’ll see it’s dynamic and stylish.  Everything about its exterior shouts sleekness with its clean lines and contours. Among the highlights you’ll love about its exterior are the new grille design, front bumper and fog lights, 9-spoke alloy wheels as well as chrome side mirrors and door handles.

Toyota did not only take the time to work on the exterior. It exerted more if not the same effort in developing the interior. Superior comfort and convenience are all yours thanks to the 4-spoke leather steering wheel with Audio and Multi Information Display, Optitron Meter, Ausio system with remote control, automatic climate control system, rear ceiling airconditioner, and huge luggage space. The last feature is a big plus especially when going on family trips and outings.

Great road performance is also one of the great benefits of the Toyota Innova. It comes with common rail diesel engine that supplies high-pressurized injection at all levels of speed. This engine is controlled by a 32-bit ECU.

You’ll be a very happy man if you choose the Toyota Innova as your very own!

Volkswagen Routan Under Scrutiny

Volkswagen Routan Under Scrutiny

I’m really not sure whether to applaud or boo Volkswagen’s effort to produce a new line of minivan with the help of Chrysler. This is the second time for VW to venture into this area. The first VW minivan ever produced was the Microbus Concept that was produced in 2001. Needless to say it was a big success. But now, with the 2009 Volkswagen Routan, success seems to be a far-off thing. Reviews of this minivan appear to be all negative. But the negativities stem from the fact that it was made by Chrysler.

Volkswagen says that the Routan “is the only minivan in America with German engineering.” And it’s really true. The VW Routan looks very different from the rest of the minivans made by Chrysler. The front end is made after Volkswagens present creations with bold front grille and headlights. However, the interior contains much of Chrysler’s personality.

In terms of performance, the Routan is ahead of other Chrysler creations with 4.0-liter v-6 engine that produces 253HP and 262-lb-ft. of torque. It has six-speed automatic transmission that picks its shifts well. Also included is a manual-shift mode. The Volkswagen Routan is available in four trims – Trendline, Comfortline, Highline, and Execline. Its price range is $27,975 - $49.975.

VW is offering zero-percent financing for those who gets one today.

There will always be one that will stick out and will be noticed for its excellence. Well, that is exactly what the Hyundai Entourage has proven. This outstanding minivan has been noticed for its superior performance and advantages for the family. This minivan was chosen as the Best Family of the Year.

Read on for you to know how that happened.

Hyundai Entourage Named a Best Family Car for 2009 by Parents Magazine and Edmunds.com

May 19, 2009 — FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. — The 2009 Hyundai Entourage minivan was recognized as a Best Family Car for 2009 by Parents magazine and Edmunds.com in their annual list of family vehicles. The Best Family Cars of 2009 will appear in the June 2009 issue of Parents magazine and is on newsstands nationwide today.

“The Hyundai Entourage emerged as one of the top three minivans in our test,” said Dana Points, editor-in-chief of Parents. “Our survey takes into special consideration the priorities of families, and the Entourage has many features to accommodate their real-world needs.”

The Parents/Edmunds.com Best Family Cars for 2009 are based on six months of analyzing and test-driving dozens of vehicles. The list includes 15 top models - three each in Sedan, Budget, Crossover, SUV and Minivan categories. Each car was judged on safety, performance, interior, exterior and family-friendly features. In addition to professional reviews, editors took into account feedback from parents who own and drive the vehicles everyday.

“Hyundai offers standard, family-friendly equipment in the Entourage making it an ideal minivan for parents,” said Brandon Ramirez, product planning manager, Hyundai Motor America. “Additionally, safety is the most important aspect of a vehicle for families and the Entourage’s six standard airbags, including side air curtains for all three rows of seats, electronic stability control, and active front head restraints make it one of the safest minivans on the road.”

The Hyundai Entourage combines top safety ratings and new technologies to redefine value. The Entourage uses a powerful 3.8-liter V6 engine and a five-speed automatic transmission - all backed by Hyundai’s 10-year, 100,000-mile warranty. It includes standard safety features like electronic stability control (ESC), six air bags and active front-seat head restraints, which have earned the Entourage a top five-star crash test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) and a TOP SAFETY PICK rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) - the best rating ever for a minivan.

Inside, Entourage is one of the most comfortable and convenient minivans on the market, thanks to a number of highly desired standard features including multi-adjustable captain’s chairs for the front and second rows, 60/40 split fold-into-floor third row seats, front wiper de-icer, cruise control, front conversation mirror to view children in the rear seats, rear sliding doors with power windows, front and rear air conditioning, roof-mounted rear-seat vents for both the second- and third-row passengers, and a foldaway tray table with four cupholders mounted between the front seats.
